	L/Sgt. Robert Oliver Townsend (S/N 5670050)
		L/Sgt. Robert Oliver Townsend, formerly of the 30th Bn. Somerset Light Infantry, served with No.6 Commando. L/Sgt. Robert Townsend Died from his wounds on 4th October 1943 , aged 28 years. Robert was the son of Frederick William and Nellie Townsend, of Saltley, Birmingham . He was laid to rest in El Alia Cemetery. Grave 12.C.33.
